League 152

HOW IT WORKS

Bring together the people who love to play. We’ll help with the details that make it work.

A few friends around a table. Students ready for more. A shop where players gather, or a league they already look forward to. However you bring people together, you know there’s something special about Mahjong.

League 152 helps you build on that—with support for the planning, communication, seating, and standings that keep a league running smoothly. So you have more time for the part you love: the people around the table.

FIND YOUR RHYTHM

Give your community something to look forward to.

A run of sessions gives your players a chance to settle in, get to know one another, and enjoy a little friendly competition along the way.

Choose the length that fits your community. Each offers the same League 152 structure and support.

BEFORE EVERY GATHERING

Feel ready before the first hello.

Before the first hello, there are messages to send, materials to prepare, and a few things to check. League 152 helps you keep those details together so you arrive ready to welcome your players.

Know what needs your attention.

Session checklists give you a clear view of what’s next. Mark things off as you go and pick up where you left off when you’re ready.

The details they’re counting on.

Start with prepared messages and reminders, and review who will receive them before sending. From what to bring to when you’ll meet again, help players feel informed and ready to join you.

The finishing touches, your way.

Score sheets, name tents, and table cards are available with your league’s details. Choose the materials that work for your gatherings and print what you need.

AROUND THE TABLE

A familiar face. Someone new to meet.

You know how much the people at a table matter. Some players arrive with friends. Others are looking forward to meeting someone new. Thoughtful seating helps make room for both.

League 152 helps you prepare a plan that considers who’s attending, player levels, Play Together preferences, and previous tablemates. You review the arrangement and make adjustments with your community in mind.

CREATING COMMUNITY

More familiar faces with every gathering.

Some players sign up with friends and request to Play Together. Others arrive knowing only you—or no one at all—and hope to make new friends. Thoughtful seating helps you welcome both, considering familiar connections while making space for new ones.

  1. At the beginning

    A friendly place to start.

You review a seating plan that considers Play Together requests alongside the players joining on their own. A familiar companion or a thoughtful introduction helps players feel welcome as they settle in.

  2. As the league unfolds

New tablemates. More to talk about.

Sharing tables with different players gives people a chance to get to know more of the community. You review and adjust the arrangements, balancing time with friends and opportunities to meet someone new.

  3. At the final gathering

More people to greet by name.

Players have shared games, stories, and a little friendly competition. Whether they joined with friends or came on their own, there are more familiar faces to greet—and more reasons to look forward to playing again.

League 152 helps with the seating details, so you have more time for the introductions, conversations, and personal touches that help a community grow.

BETWEEN SESSIONS

The conversation carries on.

A great hand. A close finish. Someone moving up the standings. Part of the fun is having something to talk about before everyone meets again.

Players record their results on a shared table scorecard. Between gatherings, they can follow the league standings, with more to cheer for as the league unfolds.

Emails are prepped to help you share the news and keep everyone looking forward to playing again. Review the messages and recipients, then send.

Each session adds another shared experience—and another reason to stay connected.

A COMMUNITY FOR DIRECTORS

A shared love of Mahjong. A community of your own.

Sometimes you want a fresh idea. Sometimes you have a question that’s easier to talk through with someone who understands. And sometimes you just want to share how well the gathering went.

The League 152 Director community is a place to ask questions, exchange ideas, and connect with fellow Directors. Whether you’re hosting your first league or have been bringing players together for years, you have a community to share the experience with.
